The Super Bowl is known for three things: the American football game, the half-time show and the adverts.
With about 100 million Americans tuning in for last night’s event 30-second advertising spots sell for up to $7 million each. Big companies have long advertised on Super Bowl weekend but this year new players were in town. Cryptocurrency firms, such as Coinbase, Crypto.com and FTX bought up so much advertising space at the event that it became known as the “Crypto-Bowl”.
